The Complete Peter Rabbit is a timeless collection of children’s stories by Beatrix Potter that has charmed generations of children with its heartwarming tales about Peter Rabbit along with family and friends. Potter’s engaging storytelling and beautiful watercolor illustrations impart valuable life lessons about curiosity, responsibility, and the consequences of disobedience (funny how few books address this topic!). For instance, the first tale in the book is about Peter Rabbit himself and how is curiosity brought him into danger, narrowly escaping many dangers exploring a vegetable garden.

While this book is tad dated and it still offers many valuable lessons for children, allowing them to develop a better understanding of their own emotions and actions. And while this book is of course a tad advanced for children to read, the prose is easy for parents and it makes for a good bed time story.
